EZE SUNNY UDEH |   espudeh@gmail.com  | Enugu, Nigeria | May 29, 2016 The result takes time necessitating a need to think out of the box.  It requires doing things differently. It calls for us to look within and search for how we can help ourselves drive investments.  The call by Gov. Ugwuanyi for all hands to be on the deck extends to the Enugu Diaspora with the attending benefits of those who reside in more economically stable clime…….Dr. Udeh Time flies as it changes from good to worse driving uncertainties and unsettling known economic path of comfort and total dependence on fossil fuel.  A little more than 20 months ago, Nigeria was basking in what appears today as oil boom of $115 per barrel.  The governments of recent past were on spending binge, corruption festering jamboree; neither thinking nor worried about the future.  Future to many was far into the distance, something not to pay attention to, as the oil wells were flowing and never to dry up and global dem

EKWEREMADU: THE POLITICAL THINKER @ ANOTHER INTELLECTUAL FEAT

EZE SUNNY UDEH, espatfame@aol.com Enugu, Nigeria, April 27th, 2016 I was not prepared for what my unusual self-invitation to a public lecture by a politician would lead to; neither was I aware that one could encounter such breadth of experience, mastery of subject matter cum intellectual depth, political sagacity and deep sense of what is good for Nigeria throughout the course of the lecture.  Little did I know that the maiden errand to seek resolution to the then political impasse engulfing Enugu West Senatorial zone would metamorphose into a followership of a political giant flowing in intellectualism - a rare combination in Nigeria ! T he best evidence of how good one is at doing anything is to actually see them doing it. Similarly, a politician’s ability to flourish in the walls of intellectualism is to see him or her doing so. Even though, it has been postulated that intellectuals do not necessarily make good politicians however, it is important for political leader

Enugu State Police Commissioner sacked for Incompetence

News reaching us indicates that Mr. Nwaobibo Ekechukwu, the Enugu State Police Commission has been sacked from office for his mishandling and outright incompetence in the massacre that occured at Ukpabi-Nimbo in Uzo Uwani, Enugu State. You will recall that Mr. Ekechukwu provided confusing information claiming that the pepetrators were hoodlums and not Fulani Herdsmen as widely reported.   His press release downplayed the atrocity and provided lower numbers of causity as he claimed his men inflicted bullet wounds without apprehending any of the attackers. Moreover, he had misled His Excellency, Gov Ugwuanyi by providing false assurances that the attack would be prevented and despite that the Fulani Herdsmen carried out the evil attack on the people of Enugu State. The sack of Mr. Ekechukwu is just one of the many actions needed to assuage the people of Enugu State and South East in general and we expect more pointed actions from the Federal Government. More news to come........

OHANAEZE NDI IGBO SANCTIONS FULANI HERDSMEN: ORDER BOYCOTT OF FULANI RED MEAT (COWS)

OHANAEZE NDI IGBO SANCTIONS FULANI HERDSMEN. OHANAEZE NDI IGBO, WORLDWIDE  (34-POSITIONS PRESENTATION OF CONCERNED IMEOBI MEMBERS)  RE: UNPROVOKED MASSACRE OF OUR PEOPLE AT NIMBO, UZOWANI LGA, ENUGU STATE BY FULANI HERDSMEN , ON MONDAY, THE 25TH DAY OF APRIL, 2016,. OUR 34 POSITIONS:  1. We have viewed with grave concern, the reckless and callous attitude of the Fulani herdsmen, who had the effrontery to bring down their violence to our peaceful south-eastern states of Nigeria, by recently attacking our defenseless kiths and kin at Nimbo Community, Uzouwani, LGA, Enugu State, MASSACRED AND DISMEMBERED a lot of them, without any respect or value for human life.  2. These itinerant herdsmen have indeed drawn a line on the sand, and their actions and audacity will no longer be discountenanced. We must take steps to reduce the chances of re-occurrence of this kind of evil, again.  3. Surely, we will not do anything illegitimate to express our displeasure in the killings o
