Press Release: THE KILLING OF IGBO YOUTHS (IPOB) IN EMENE, ENUGU IS ROUNDLY CONDEMNED

USA:   The killing of Igbo (IPOB) youths who gathered peacefully in Emene has been roundly condemned. Obori Adaka joins to state that such callous disregard and wastage of the lives of Ndiigbo is not acceptable, will not be tolerated and is roundly condemned.  The perpetrators must be held to account.  While the full truth is awaited it seems obvious that Nigerian law enforcement in Enugu State and other parts of South East are not concerned about the security of the people rather they are more acting as occupation and repressive forces strategically deployed and positioned to control, cajole and cower our people into submission as our political leadership go along in confused daze.   Nigerian fe

NIGERIAN CLOSET RACISTS PLEASE STAND UP by Obori Adaka

Quite unfortunately, the video clip titled, “Message to White (Identified) Nigerians by Tanya TKO tore into Nigerians.  She

UGWUANYI: THE QUINTESSENTIAL LEADER OF ENUGU STATE

EZEJIOFO SUNNY UDEH espudeh@gmail.com May 24, 2020. Perhaps, most discerning observers have quietly wondered the reason behind Ugwuanyi’s indomitable and rising profile.  Others, especially those of us in the skeptical camp, are not in a rush to judgment for we ascribe the unseen popularity to a phenomenon worthy of closer scrutiny. Going by the events of the reelection of former governors, Nnamani and Chime, such acceptance of an incumbent is indeed alien to the political annals of Enugu State or even in Nigeria. Our search for an answer brought us to close reexamination of the popular maxim in the political lexicon that "Vox populi; vox dei", which translates to "the voice of the people is the voice of God".  However, an early reference of the expression was in a letter from Alcuin, an English scholar to King Charlemagne where he wrote, “And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God, since t

ADD YOUR NAME TO EGEDE COVID-19 RELIEF FUND Final and Special Appeal by Dr. Eze Sunny Udeh

May 4th, 2020 The Coronavirus and its Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world calls for a moment of charity and giving to our own people who by no fault of theirs were summoned to stay off work and stay at home to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Despite government intervention there is a growing need for us to do more for ourselves and our people.  There is a strong need for us to close rank irrespective of our political cleavages or inclination.  Hunger knows no such but descends on any and all human beings with the same weight of anguish.  For these reasons, barely two weeks ago, without lengthy discussion the COVID-19 Quartet in the names of Hon. Chuka Akunne, Hon. Stanley Anyadi, Dr. KUK Ekwueme and Dr. Eze Sunny Udeh joined hands and launched EGEDE COVID RELIEF FUND and started raising money to buy food items for our beloved Egede people.  As at today, we are chasing our third million as Umu-Egede world over have responded in kind.  We have receive

Oboriadaka@gamil.com Egede, Nigeria April 19, 2020 It was one of the Shakespearean popular quotes, what is in a name, and a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.  These are good and interesting quotes of their time.   However in our good old Umezenevo part of Egede a name is one of the most important attributes of a man and a woman.  The name is important and the sweetness of the name is as great. The name you were given at birth bears deep meaning in anticipation of the vision your parents have for you.   When you get older, become a man,  marry, and take a name for yourself, it comes with a much deeper meaning of what you have done and a compendium of your aspirations, plan and strategy for the future. Such series of names guide your actions and activities as you strive to live up to the name you have bestowed on yourself.  Such is the case with His Royal Majesty Igwe Dr. Ikenna Okwesili who prior to ascending the throne was crowned a chieftai

Egede USA: 40 Million Water Project & Controversial Implementation by Obori Adaka.

March 29, 2020. Egede’s quest to solve the water problem dates back to the 1950s and 1960s and even 1970s but to no avail.  Not until an Italian Construction Company Bartolotti dug a sizable borehole in the course of their construction of Makurdi - 9th Mile road at New Site Primary School and handed it to Egede did we start to see light at the end of the tunnel .   Indeed, it was a breath of fresh air for Egede and the adjoining communities who previously were trekking miles to fetch water from Awhum and Affa. This piece will briefly discuss Egede Community Association of America Inc. also known as Egede-USA, it’s goal to provide water to the people of Egede and the controversial mode of implementation adopted unconstitutionally by the so called 12 unstoppables. It ends with recommendations.  Egede-USA’S Goal is Water for Egede! As many Egede indigenes find themselves in the United States from the early 1970s and 1980s the singular developmental goal of an average Egede
