*April 15 was a day modernity and culture blended harmoniously*. It happened in Egede. And the great Newsdesk was there to watch from a near and close position.
*The grandiosity of the three-day wedding* carnival left no one in doubt about the clout and reach of the Enugu USA Community corner-beam and central pillar, Chief Dr. Peter Okwesili (Mili Igbo Gburugburu). The entire Egede City was thrown into a carnival mood atmosphere, superbly choreographed with neatly-packaged programs and activities to mark the Traditional Wedding celebration of our daughter, Ada Boston, Ada Chief Peter Okwesili & his wife, Ezinne Osodieme Jacinta.
*The entire Egede City took* a vacation from their daily chores to join in the revelry. As Chief Dr. Peter Okwesili is known to do, it was a party-galore in Egede. The gate at his two-story Egede mansion was thrown wide open. In fact, unhinged from the hook, making sure that every Edege man and woman have access to the grand occasion just as hundreds of out-of-state dignitaries that arrived in class and styles.

*By the time it was 1PM* local time, Chief Okwesili's massive compound was packed full, spilling outside of his gate where a greater throng of revelers were busy watching various kinds of entertainments. Live band performers were there doing their roll-call praise-singing of the classy guests and locals with means.
*Cultural dancers,* masquerades of various hues and colors were all performing in their different circles. The revered Egede Odo masquerades debuted after many years of hiatus. The presence of the great Odo Maqurade is not only significant, but eloquently presented an unchallenged dictum about Chief Okwesili's weight and influence in Egede affairs, culture and wellbeing. Egede locals saw the events as an opportunity to appreciate Chief Okwesili's positive and philanthropic involvements in their affairs and developments.
*Speaking to Newsdesk,* the Community Oracle, Custodian and DRA, Nambu Goddy Echibiri, congratulated our daughter Dr. Nwanneka Okwesili for a successful Traditional Wedding. Praying for the young couple, Custodian Echibiri wished them a fruitful marriage filled with happiness, good health and long life. Chief Echibiri went on to welcome back to Boston Chief Peter Okwesili, his wife, Ezinne Jacinta Okwesili and the entire Bostonians who attended the beautiful wedding event.
*On the same note,* Chief Echibiri called on Dr. Peter Okwesili to immediately summon Stakeholders for a retreat at his Enugu House for "our own share of Iko Nkwu"
*Loaning his voice to Custodian Echibiri,* the Community Dean of Chieftaincy, Cultural & Traditional Matters, Chief Paul Nwokeji (Omeroha na Akokwa) prayed for the success of the young couple. "God's fruitful blessings are theirs", prayed Chief Omeroha. "I also want to remind Chief Peter Okwesili that as a Stakeholder, he needs to summon stakeholders at his home for a retreat where *our own share of Iko Nkwū* will be presented to us", Chief Omeroha added.
