WHEN PUBLICITY STUNT GOES AMOCK – IN THE POLITICS WITH GALF

My fellow Nigerians, apologies to the men in uniform, and in particular, Ndi Igbo. Charity they say begins at home, ebe onye bi ka-onawachi. I am a son of Greater Awgu, in particular Oji River Local Government Area. Therefore, I have a standing in the call to recall my representatives in the National and State assemblies.
While I commend the interest of the two or three individuals using the name of GALF to highlight the infrastructural deficit in Aninri, Awgu and Oji River, I find it suspicious that the deficit in infrastructure merits a recall from national and state assemblies. Reading through their reasons for the recall, I cannot in good conscience identify with their cause and I know no sane citizen of Aninri, Awgu and Oji River will identify with their cause for the same reasons.
The reasons these individuals have advanced is proof they have not visited home for many years, or even if they visited, they did not take time to go around to verify the accuracy of their charges in the recall. I have been living in Enugu and Indeed Greater Awgu going to ten years now and compared to other zones in Enugu State, their reasons for the recall is nothing but a cheap political stunt. 
And compared to other zones in northern or western Nigeria, Greater Awgu is not doing badly. Now let’s be clear, Greater Awgu needs more infrastructural development, but to talk of impeachment is absurd. 
To tell you that these individuals do not mean well for Greater Awgu, they identified Hon. Sunday Ude-Okoye as Deputy Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly. Now that cannot be an error on their part, that shows how uninformed they are. Hon. Ude Okoye is not the Deputy Speaker of the Enugu State House of Assembly. And I am not going to give them the answer to that question. As they say these brothers are “not on ground” and it shows they are being used. 
History will show that Senator Ik Ekweremadu is among the best if not the best representative in all of Nigeria’s democratic dispensation. To name just but a few, the Oji River -  Awgu road was a death trap before and after the Nigeria civil war until Ekweremadu was elected in 2003. 
Senator Ekweremadu has attracted so many quality of life impacting projects to the people of Aninri, Awgu, Oji River, Ezeagu and Udi. He showed himself a worthy advocate for Ndi Igbo in the floor of the Nigeria Senate. 
It makes me wonder whether these individuals using the name of GALF for recall of one of Igbo prominent leaders, are agents of Igbo haters or folks just looking for publicity; Am sure inquiring minds wants to know.
